The most important active ingredient of rosemary is essential oil and the most important substances of essential oil are between 1-2.5 percent; cineol (15-30%), camphor (5-10%), borneol (10-20%), piment, bornylcetat, linalool, rosmanol, epirosmanol.
Other chemicals in rosemary; organic acids (rosmaric acid, rosmarinic acid, ursolic acid, carnosic acid), alpha-hydroxy acids (glyconic acid), polyphenols (diosmin, luteolin), minerals (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus) and all these components is a plant rich in iron, calcium and antioxidant content.
